  once I gave him a little nudge,' she said.

  Ms Wilkinson said snakes are more interested in getting away and
  will only strike out at a human as a very last resort and that this snake's
  behaviour was a good example of that.
  
  'They don't chase or attack people at all. It's all about defending themselves when threatened,' she said.
  
  
  'This can be by coming toward you so you back away, rearing up and hissing, and
  if they continue to feel threatened throwing a mock

  through the pants or boots,' she said. 
  
  'Also to keep a bandage and their phone on them.

  She said the best thing to do was to always call a licensed snake

  it in the long run as a bite can be very serious,' she said. 
  
  'Do not try to catch or kill the snake it's very dangerous and illegal and comes
  with a hefty fine. Make sure you call a professional, reputable snake
